It looks like Arto Saari has left the Flip camp and now rides for Alien Workshop. Here is what Geoff Rowly had to say about the move. ”Arto is like a brother to me. After years of being on the same team with the same goals it was time for him to move on. We remain the best of friends and will continue to skate together probably harder and probably more so than ever!!! I wish him all the best and as a brother, I shall always have his back” MJ SOTY Utility Party
On Friday April 4th Utility Board Supply along with Matix, Lakai, and Chocolate held a party to honor Marc Johnson winning Thrasher Magazines Skater of the Year award for 2007. Tons of people showed up for the event and some sick skating went down on the new Utility mini ramp. Chronic Tacos was nice enough to provide us all with some good ass tacos and the beer was a flowin. The Powerflex 5 were playing some rad Skate-Rock on the stage keeping the energy alive. The band features Salba on guitar and Corey Miller from LA Ink on drums. The festivities went on pretty late and eventually we all retired to the after parties. What a night, good times. Click Here for more photos from the night. Special thanks go out to Matix, Lakai, Chocolate, and Chronic Tacos for help with sponsoring the event. Vert is dead to X Games
ESPN has decided to axe the vert portion of X Games 14. Out is vert and in is a new Superpark discipline. Here is a quote from X Games General Manager Chris Stiepock, “It’s time. It’s been time. ESPN’s always a little slow on the uptake. It’s no secret that the vert field has stayed the same for the last decade. It’s no secret that there aren’t any vert ramps for kids to ride outside Southern California. If you want a vert career, you have to move there.” Guess we will have to see what this “SuperPark” is all about. Beauty and the Beast Tour
Girl and Anti Hero skateboards have come together for the Beauty and the Beast tour.
